NOOK ebook sales have been falling since the end of July 2017, but with a year to go the company is still reporting a modest increase.
According to Nook sales numbers released by Google, the company saw sales of 6.2 million units in July, down 15.1% on the previous month, which was a drop of 15.4%.
Nook has also seen sales of the iPad mini fall by 8.6% in the past month, to 7.6 million units.
NOOK has had some pretty tough years, as the tablet market has been plagued by a slew of new and unproven devices.
The company has been forced to rely on its own iPad line for the majority of its sales, and the company’s stock has dropped about 40% over the past year.
While it’s hard to predict how many of those devices will be new, there is a lot of good news for the iPad maker.
Since it launched the iPad Pro in September, Nook has seen sales decline by just over 20%.
Sales of the original iPad Pro have also declined by nearly 40%, but that’s largely due to the lack of an updated model that can compete with Apple’s newest tablet, the iPad Air.
Despite the tablet’s weak performance, NOOK is still profitable, as it’s now operating at a profit of $1.2 billion.
